#Oct17

This is an interactive display honouring the writing of those displaced by the political events in October 1917 in Russia and by war and unrest in other parts of the world over the last 100 years.

This initiative is raising funds for The Links Project's writing project which will run from 30th March to 15th April in #ATownExploresABook18.

To take part, please add a quote and the name of a writer displaced by the political events in Russia in October 1917 or any world unrest since. Your chosen quote could be from a novel, poem, a letter or a note. Or if you prefer, just make a donation to The Links Project's writing project. Thank you.

This initiative has arisen from the writing of Alia Aivazovsky, displaced by October 1917, who settled in London. His memories of his grandfather, Ivan Aivazovsky, inspired ExploreTheArch's recent production, The House of the Man who Painted the Sea. The boat featured in this display was painted by Ivan Aivazovsky. UNESCO Anniversary - Aivazovsky 200 Thank you for your support.
